What’s involved?
As a participant in the Zero Carbon Moreland (ZCM) program you will be asked to calculate your carbon footprint and develop a simple action plan to reduce your personal greenhouse gas emissions over the next twelve months. To help you get there, we’ll provide you with information, advice, and practical assistance. Then, a year from now, you can re-calculate your footprint to see how much you’ve achieved. Zero Carbon Moreland is only open to households within the Moreland City Council area. Have a look at a map of Moreland.
Free Home Energy Assessment
Zero Carbon Moreland has partnered with My Home My Climate to provide free home energy assessments to anyone who joins between December 14 2009 and January 31 2010. Once you’ve signed up to ZCM, a representative of My Home My Climate will contact you to book in a time for your free home energy assessment.The assessment takes less than 1 hour. A qualified assessor will walk through your home with you and identify the best ways for you to save energy, reduce your electricity and gas bills, and make your home greener without reducing your creature comforts.
The assessment will cover:
• Lighting
• Draft Proofing
• Insulation
• Water Heating
• Appliances
The assessor will also help you calculate your household’s carbon footprint. You’ll be given a copy of the Energy Assessment, and a list of recommended actions tailored to your home.
There’s no obligation – the decision on which actions you implement is entirely up to you.

The offer is limited to new Zero Carbon Moreland participants who sign up between December 14, 2009 and January 31 2010.
Existing ZCM households are not eligible.
This offer is available to Moreland households only.
Gifts are limited to one per household.
To be eligible to receive the free gift the household must also receive a home energy assessment.
The Zero Carbon Moreland offer will be delivered by My Home My Climate, a third party service provider.
Provision of products and service beyond the free assessment and gift are negotiated between My Home My Climate and the householder.
Moreland Energy Foundation accepts no liability or responsibility for events beyond the terms of the offer.
